About Mark Dolby
You know that photographer who takes up the whole time from the end of the ceremony to the start of the meal taking group shots? That’s not me!
I want you to have a great time on your wedding day and I’m going to help you do that in whatever way I can. Whether that’s driving your Nan back down the farm track because she’s not so steady on her feet, or helping with the placement of those button holes. If you’re having a great, fun-filled and stress free day, I can guarantee great images will follow.
I don’t have a set formula that I’m going to impose, I’m just going to get to know you so that I can capture you and your friends and family celebrating your marriage in whatever cool, whacky, creative, low-key, elaborate or crazy way you see fit.
We’ll get the group shots, the pictures of the cake and the dress but while I want you to remember what all of those things look like, what I’m really trying to do is remind you how it felt to finally marry the person you love in front of all your family and friends.
I live with my wife Rache and our daughter Isobel, in a lovely Yorkshire village surrounded by some beautiful hills. They are amazing to look at and a nightmare to run and cycle up but I try not to let that stop me. Rache works her backside off as a primary school teacher.
My wedding photography business is born out of a desire for a creative life. I do my best work when I’m having to think on my feet and pride myself on remaining calm under pressure. Weddings are the perfect place for this.
I believe that your photographs are one of the few, and perhaps the most important, keepsakes from your wedding but I’ll never let my photography get in the way of you having a fantastic day.
